Southend Start-Up Network for Social Enterprise
Forthcoming Events. We now have confirmed dates and venues for the following events:
Tendering, Procurement and Funding for Social Enterprise 14 November 2008 SAVS Centre, Alexandra St, Southend 09:30 – 13:00
Increasingly,
the public sector is seeking contractors to deliver services to the
community and often it is an area in which social enterprise can offer
direct experience -Two local examples are SPDNS, delivering specialist
nursing care and support and Trust Links who offer services to those
suffering from mental ill health and Scollar Trust, who deal with
education needs across the Borough. Our PCT and Council experts
will be speaking about what their respective organisations look for
when going out to tender for contracts for public sector services and
answering your questions. Bob Westrip will be advising on what you need
to do to make sure you are 'business ready' and how you apply for
funding from a variety of sources. Myles Cooper, Social Enterprise
Specialist for Business Link will also be attending, so you can ask him
about any other issues associated with social enterprise. If you want a place at this event, PLEASE let us know by emailing on jackconsultants@tesco.net
